As Hitchcock ISD continues to grow and strengthen our district, we are excited to share key leadership updates that will enhance our operations and better serve our students, staff, and community. These changes reflect our commitment to ensuring the best possible learning environment for our students and providing strong support for our educators.
Leadership Updates:
✔️ Patrick Faour has been named Interim Superintendent, bringing his leadership and dedication to guiding our district forward.
✔️ April Pinkham has transitioned to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will oversee all financial operations to ensure continued fiscal responsibility and growth.
✔️ Chris Armacost has been named Assistant Superintendent, where he will continue to oversee Technology, Transportation, Facilities, and Operations, with now overseeing our HISD PD.

HITCHCOCK, TX – Hitchcock Independent School District (HISD) is proud to announce that 13 of its educators have earned designations through the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program, marking the first year Hitchcock ISD teachers have been eligible for this prestigious recognition. These designations reward teachers for their exceptional instructional impact and student growth, providing them with additional compensation while ensuring they remain in the classroom to continue making a difference.

It is with great sadness that we share the heartbreaking loss of one of our Hitchcock High School seniors, Francisco Silva. Francisco was a bright young man with a kind heart, a passion for helping others, and a future full of promise.

Hitchcock High School will implement a closed campus policy starting February 24, 2025. This decision was made to increase student safety, minimize policy violations, and improve academic focus.

Hitchcock ISD was proudly represented at the Inaugural Business, Leadership & Urban Excellence (B.L.U.E.) Awards Gala, a prestigious event honoring individuals who exemplify leadership, service, and excellence within the community. Hosted by Dedrick Johnson Productions in partnership with B.L.U.E. Inc., the gala celebrated African American professionals, educators, and community leaders who have made a significant impact.
Among the honorees were two Hitchcock ISD standouts:
- Coach Jordan, recipient of the 2025 Trailblazer Award, recognized for his outstanding contributions to youth development and leadership.
- Deidre Holmes, nominated for the Educator of Excellence Award, a testament to her unwavering dedication to academic achievement and student success.
